Holding On

Standing in the centre of the marketplace
The smell of seafood and flowers all around
Can't say I notice, or that I really care
As I lean down and whisper in your hair
"Let's just stay here for a while"
My eyes are closed, so I can't see your smile

But I can tell by the way you're holding on
I can tell by the way you're holding on
You don't want this moment to end
My best friend
I've found my best friend

Standing in the centre of the marketplace
Bright-coloured hats and T-shirts all around
Don't really notice, and I don't really care
I only have eyes for the girl with red hair
We just stay here for a while
"I like this," I tell you with a smile

And I could spend all day just holding on
I could spend all day just holding on
I don't want this moment to end
My best friend
I've found my best friend

I can tell by the way you're holding on
I can tell by the way you're holding on
You don't want this moment to end
I could spend all day just holding on
I could spend all day just holding on
I don't want this moment to end
My best friend
My best friend
My best friend
I've found my best friend
